Industrial doors for every requirement
Teckentrup at BAU 2011 (Hall B3, Stand 321)

Teckentrup has added new products to its range of industrial doors and expanded the areas of application with new approvals, for example, for fire protection. “We supply the perfect element for every application - from roller grille to multi-purpose door,” says Teckentrup managing director Meinolf Funkenmeier. The product range even supplies solutions from just one source for complex projects with various requirements. At BAU 2011 in Munich, the German door specialist will showcase its latest innovations, for example a new, already approved fire-proof sliding door, a new folding door range, the new “SLX” sectional doors – a fully glazed version – and the highly insulating “SW80” door.

“Today, it is not enough to simply offer various types of doors – it must also be possible to adapt them flexibly to technical-economical and architectural requirements,” explains Funkenmeier. The innovations on show at BAU 2011 satisfy all of these demands and more. Besides the tailored product portfolio, the company strategy includes a wide range of services – from planning support to the monitoring of construction site activities.

Teckentrup will round off the sectional door range at BAU 2011 with two new special doors:

The “SW 80” door provides 50 per cent better insulation than conventional types. This is ensured by the 80 mm thick reinforced PU insulation core. Efficient insulation is not only profitable as heat insulation in the winter – owners of refrigerated warehouses can also save a lot of energy with well insulated doors. With dimensions of 5x5 metres, the door achieves a very low U value of 0.58 W/m²K – thus providing insulation almost as good as a solid wall. Furthermore, the door‘s robust design makes it particularly storm proof (up to resistance class 4, i.e. 144 kph).

The glazed door “SLX” is a full glass door. It is best suited to buildings where lots of ambient light is desired – and for architecturally pleasing workshops and showrooms, such as those of car manufacturers.

The “industrial door configurator” (www.industrietor-konfigurator.de) provides a virtual tool for the step-by-step definition of the perfect industrial sectional door – dimensions, appearance, hardware, control unit and drive. Take the opportunity to test the online planner during BAU 2011 at the Teckentrup stand (Hall B3, Stand 321).

To prevent sources of error in advance and to minimize installation periods, Teckentrup has increased the level of prefabrication – and thus the cost-effectiveness of metalworkers. Teckentrup will present several examples at BAU 2011:

With the new roller shutter “easy”, the consoles are connected to the predrilled guide rails by the manufacturer. This means time-consuming measurements are a thing of the past. The installation time is reduced by up to 40 per cent – and the door can also be installed by just one fitter.

The industrial sectional doors are also characterised by extensive prefabrication. Factory fitted seals, pre-assembled safety edges and attachments ensure shorter installation times.

Reduced weight and door elements with identical widths facilitate the installation of the new single and double-leaf Teckentrup fire-proof sliding door T90. And since it can be adjusted after installation, any inaccuracies (e.g. of the structure) can be easily corrected. The fully enclosed runner rails provide the fire-proof door with an attractive appearance.

Faster installation of the new folding door is guaranteed by the new guide technology. A further advantage for users is the low-wear, smooth operation that helps to extend the service life of the door.
