All-round protection: Doors for increased safety and security
Teckentrup at BAU 2011 (Hall B3, Stand 321)

Noise protection, burglar protection, fire and smoke protection, heat and cold insulation, storm protection – today, doors do more than just allow us to move from one room to the next. At BAU 2011, Teckentrup will showcase the latest solutions for almost every requirement – including a bullet-proof door. Furthermore, the German company will present a wide range of doors – from a folding door to the highly insulating and storm-proof “SW 80” door, as well as new garage doors especially for homeowners – at Stand 321 in Hall B3.

“Creating value through innovation” – the trade fair motto of the door specialist Teckentrup (Verl) incorporates new and further developments for quick and simple installation and new design ideas. However, the central theme becomes quite clear after taking a look at the protection features.

Noise protection is a basic need no matter whether it is in your own four walls, residential accommodation or a usually very loud industrial production environment. With a range of technical improvements, the dw 67-1 HS “Teckentrup” door achieves a high noise insulation value of 57 dB and 55 dB for the single and double-leaf version respectively. The robust steel door is also approved for escape routes and emergency exits.

Burglar protection is classified by various levels of resistance (WK). Teckentrup will present a new double-leaf multi-purpose door (WK 4) – if desired, with fire protection – at BAU 2011.
And the bullet-proof steel door offers even greater protection. It is designed for use in banks or buildings which require special protection (embassies, ministries, special research institutes, prisons, etc.).

Fire and smoke protection – the German door specialist will present a number of new doors in this category. The fire-proof sliding door has undergone numerous improvements: Lighter elements with a modular design facilitate installation, and fully enclosed runners ensure an attractive appearance. The T90 sliding door is available as an approved single and double-leaf version. Several new approvals reflect the wide range of application areas for fire-proof doors, for both sheet steel and tubular profile types, in the classes T30, T60 and T90.

Extremely high heat insulation in industrial and commercial buildings can be achieved with the new sectional door SW 80. The sections consist of 80 mm thick thermally separated sandwich panels. This ensures that the total element easily achieves U values of below 0.6 W/m²K.

The garage door range has been adapted to the wishes of private customers. It is based on the proven sectional door GSW 40 with a 40 mm thick heat insulation core and TÜV-tested burglar protection. New surfaces and a wide range of colours ensure doors with the right style for everyone. Numerous glazing options and comfortable drives increase the many opportunities for homeowners.
