In the heart of Hamburg, the former flak bunker has been transformed into one of the city‘s most spectacular construction projects. The imposing structure, once a shelter during World War II, is now a symbol of modern urban development, sustainability, and multifunctional use. With the addition of five floors, a public roof garden, and the new REVERB by Hard Rock Hotel, the bunker has become an architectural landmark that connects history and future.
As part of the comprehensive redesign, the task was to supply customised fire and smoke protection doors that meet the requirements for safety, functionality and design. Teckentrup supplied a total of around 70 doors of various protection classes (T30, T90, RS) for use in the REVERB Hotel. Not only did the doors have to comply with the strict legal requirements for fire protection and smoke protection in a hotel and event building, they also had to blend harmoniously into the industrial and modern design concept of the bunker.
