Magdeburg Port

Located in Magdeburg Harbor, Germany's second-largest inland port, a hall with an unusually large opening is waiting for the right door: 10x10 meters, or 100 square meters, is anything but ordinary. This size is also unusual for a roller shutter. And it requires special solutions. This is where door manufacturer Teckentrup comes in, known for seeking and finding specific solutions. Ten meters wide, ten meters high – with these dimensions, one would expect a hangar. Now Magdeburg Harbor also has a door of these dimensions. Components for wind turbines are built here.
Both the unusual size and weight of the gate and its exposed location in the port area with large open spaces required additional safety measures to protect against high wind loads. Even inland, enormous wind forces are generated here, and the requirements for a gate installed here are correspondingly high. Lingner Tor- und Türtechnik worked with Teckentrup to find and install a customized solution for these demanding requirements.
