Meranti-Hall All-weather zoo Münster

A jungle adventure covering over 4,000 square metres can be found at the Allwetterzoo in Münster. Even from the outside, the Meranti Hall impresses with its enormous foil dome, which rises 16 metres into the air. Inside, visitors can experience exotic animals and impressive flora up close. The hall owes its name to a group of tropical hardwoods: the Meranti Hall at Münster All-Weather Zoo serves as a new home for a total of 15 exotic animal species, including lowland tapirs, giant otters, howler monkeys, anteaters, mongooses, amphibians, reptiles and birds, and is a unique project of its kind in Europe. The main protagonists here are definitely the animal inhabitants, while the doors to and from the enclosures take a back seat, blending in perfectly with the spectacular backdrop thanks to their matching paintwork.
