Willingen ski lift

The chairlift at Köhlerhagen in Willingen is in operation all year round. Although the Ettelsberg is not located in the Alps, this popular destination for summer and winter sports enthusiasts in Willingen can boast alpine-level lift technology: No expense or effort was spared in replacing the 50-year-old T-bar lifts, and a modern eight-seater chairlift was put into operation in 2018. During the season, the chairlift system can transport several thousand guests a day – whether on skis in winter or mountain bikes in summer – up the 838-meter-high Ettelsberg. The starting point is the valley station. Depending on the season, guests can access the chairlifts via different entrances. Outside operating hours, both entrances are protected by secure Teckentrup roller shutters and sectional doors to prevent unauthorized access to the facility.
