Doors for the new Elizabeth Line: Doors in underground stations must not only meet fire safety and security requirements, but also be able to withstand pressure. This was one of the requirements for the doors in the new Crossrail stations in London. Security doors that are fire, sound and pressure resistant were required here. Teckentrup was able to offer the right door solutions with the appropriate conformity, which also complied with the revised, stricter version of LPS 1175 for product certification. In addition, all the required values for soft impact tests, structural strength data, U-values, cycle tests and life cycles were met. This tipped the scales in favour of the German manufacturer when the project was awarded and marked the start of a successful collaboration with Whitechapel and Liverpool Street stations.
