Tourism is booming worldwide, especially in hotspots. New hotels are springing up everywhere. This is also evident on the other side of the world: in Cape Town, the exciting harbour metropolis at the foot of Table Mountain, the Rezidor Hotel Group has opened a new, sophisticated 4-star hotel with a youthful interior under the ‘Radisson Red’ label.
This was a construction project with increased requirements: lots of people in a confined space who want to be looked after and still enjoy their peace and quiet, but who also need to be able to leave the building quickly in the event of an emergency. This is where doors take on a very special significance. Due to the exposed harbour location, sound insulation plays a special role here, because the spectacular location in the old grain silo district – where a new urban environment is being created in the immediate vicinity of the harbour – has the downside of high noise levels, both during the day and at night.
The hotel planners chose Teckentrup as their universal supplier for the doors, as the Verler-based company was able to deliver the entire range of services required and also proved to be a true partner by providing technical advice on site.
