Sound insulation doors

Whether it’s an office, a public building, or a home: sound insulation has a significant influence on the health and well-being of people. Noise and loud noises in the workplace influence the “work environment” and also limit the ability to concentrate and absorb information. People need peace and quiet for optimal work performance, a feeling of well-being and healthy sleep. A standard door is only capable of swallow-ing the noise that comes from the hall or other rooms in a limited fashion. Which is why we offer the sound insulation door.
Teckentrup sound insulation doors are available in single-leaf and double-leaf variants. The door elements consist of a movable door leaf and a fixed frame, also commonly known as the doorframe. The Frame covers the wall opening on one hand, and on the other serves to take in the hinges as well as the locking plate where the lock latch clips into place. Frames can be made from very different materials. Steel frames in particular are used in frequently used areas due to their high stability and robustness.

Sound insulation for indoors and outdoors

Workspace sections with a high noise level must be separated from office spaces and rooms with lower levels of noise, especially within the course of everyday business. Teckentrup sound insulation doors are used here. To protect against high noise levels, Teckentrup's steel sound-proof doors offer optimum sound insulation as per DIN EN 10140/717-1. They ensure pleasant acoustics, reduce noise pollution, increase work efficiency and protect health. The precise interplay between door leaf, frame, fittings and floor joint guarantees efficient noise protection. The doors provide very good noise insulation up to 57 dB thanks to the particular construction of the door leaves, the very thick insulation material and the special seals.
High insulation values are necessary in buildings with large levels of noise, in particular, such as testing spaces for motors or turbines. Sound waves can penetrate through even the smallest of openings. This also means that the sound insulation door must be sealed optimally. Special seals ensure that the gap between the door leaf and frame when the door is closed is really sealed. The seal of the sound insulation door with the floor is created using special floor seals that have a sound-insulating effect here. This is usually accomplished via a retractable bottom seal that automatically sinks down when the door is closed. In addition, a slide or buffer seal can be used.

Sound insulation door Teckentrup

Sound insulation doors from Teckentrup possess a special door leaf design, very thick insulating material and special seals, which, in combination, lead to optimal insulation values.

Why is sound or noise protection so important?

Particularly in day-to-day operations, workroom sections with a high noise level must be separated from office rooms and rooms with a lower noise level. Especially in buildings with high noise levels, e.g. in test rooms for engines or turbines, high sound insulation values must be achieved. Sound waves can penetrate through even the smallest opening. Therefore, an optimal sealing of the soundproof door is also necessary. Special seals ensure that the gap between the door leaf and the frame is really tight when the door is closed. The soundproof door is sealed to the floor by means of special floor seals, which have a sound-absorbing effect in this area. This is usually done by means of a lowerable floor seal that automatically lowers when the door is closed. In addition, a sliding seal or a stop seal can also be used.
Teckentrup sound insulated doors therefore provide optimum sound insulation against a high noise level. They ensure pleasant acoustics, reduce noise pollution, increase work efficiency and protect health. The precise interaction of door leaf, frame, fittings and floor seal ensures efficient sound insulation. Thanks to the special construction of the door leaf, the very dense insulating material and the special seals, the doors achieve very good sound insulation values of up to 57 dB.

Highest safety for all requirements

The multiple functions of Teckentrup doors are guaranteed, for example, by the various door closers, hold-open systems, drives, anti-panic equipment and much more. The door leaf and frame form the basis for a durable door element. But it is only with high-quality fittings and the electrical equipment that a finish is created that realises today's requirements for reliable function with an integrated system.
